Scope.

Parasitaria welcomes original scientific works or reviews of all topics concerning any aspect of Parasitology. The manuscripts must be submitted in English by means of the electronic system provided by the journal. Among other types of articles, Parasitaria particularly welcomes 'Preliminary originals', including the first original results of a larger research and specially designed for young scientists.

The publication is free and is funded by the dues of the members of the society. Parasitaria accepts submissions from members of SOCEPA as well as scientists not belonging to the Spanish Society of Parasitology.

Two novel types of articles are noteworthy. 'Big Mistakes in Parasitology', included in the 'Miscellanea' section, to denounce significant errors detected in scientific journals, books, websites, media, etc., and 'Author's Ombudsman Section', aimed to publish articles containing well-documented authors' unfair experiences related to, for instance, not-well-justified rejections of articles, issues with reviewers, etc.

Parasitaria seeks to be a quick-management journal to shorten the publication process, thereby allowing a rapid dissemination of the information provided by the authors.

Its publication is online on the Parasitaria web page (http://www.rilparasitologia.org/), with a link on the SOCEPA website. The former digitalized issues of the journals published by SOCEPA are available at the 'Biblioteca Virtual' on the web page of the Royal National Academy of Pharmacy of Spain (Real Academia Nacional de Farmacia de España).
