Parasitaria

Parasitaria is the official journal of the Spanish Society of Parasitology (Sociedad Española de Parasitología, SOCEPA). Parasitaria is the continuation of the Iberian Journal of Parasitology (Revista Ibérica de Parasitología) founded by Professor Carlos Rodriguez Lopez-Neyra in 1948.

Publishing in Parasitaria is free for any author of the scientific community. Publishing expenseses are funded by the dues of the members of the Spanish Society of Parasitology. Parasitaria publishes online original scientific works or reviews of all the topics concerning any aspect of Parasitology, parasitism, and related areas. Parasitaria accepts only manuscripts in English submitted using the electronic system provided by the journal (http://www.rilparasitologia.org/).

Parasitaria publications are linked to the SOCEPA (http://www.socepa.es/) page and of the Royal National Academy of Pharmacy of Spain (Real Academia Nacional de Farmacia de España), where all of the former issues of the journal published by SOCEPA are digitalized.

Parasitaria has different sections (see the publication guidelines) but makes special reference to Preliminary originals, consisting on first original results of a larger research, specially designed for young scientists.

The Miscellanea section includes the Big Mistakes in Parasitology section meant to denounce significant errors detected in scientific journals, books, websites, media, etc and the Author’s Ombudsman section, where are published articles that contain well-documented authors’ unfair experiences related to, for instance, not-well-justified rejections of articles, issues with reviewers, etc.

Parasitaria seeks to be a quick management journal that shorten the publication process, allowing the rapid dissemination of the results among scientific community.
